2. Scope of This Policy

This policy applies to personal data collected through the NilePath Heritage website at quick-pass.xyz, including the contact form, membership subscription process, and any correspondence submitted through the site. It does not apply to data collected through third-party websites that we may link to in our content, nor to the practices of tour operators, museums, or other heritage institutions mentioned in our guides.

By using this website and submitting information through any form on it, you acknowledge having read this policy. If you do not agree with the terms stated here, please do not submit personal information through the website.

3. Personal Data We Collect

We collect personal data only when you voluntarily provide it, specifically through the contact form on the contact page. The categories of data we collect are:

  • Your full name, as entered in the contact form
  • Your email address, used to respond to your enquiry
  • Your telephone number, if provided (optional field)
  • Your organisation name, if provided (optional field)
  • The content of your message
  • The subject category you selected from the dropdown menu
  • The date and approximate time of your submission

We do not collect any data that you have not provided intentionally. We do not use tracking scripts, analytics tools, advertising pixels, or behavioural profiling technologies on this website. We do not set cookies other than those strictly necessary for the technical functioning of the site. We do not operate social media plug-ins that communicate data to external platforms.

4. Purpose and Legal Basis for Processing

The personal data submitted through our contact form is processed for the following purposes:

  • Responding to your enquiry or request — the primary and dominant purpose
  • Processing a membership application and setting up your account if you request one
  • Maintaining a record of correspondence for account management purposes
  • Addressing legal or administrative requirements that arise from a specific interaction

The legal basis for processing under Egyptian data protection law (Law 151 of 2020 on Personal Data Protection and its implementing regulations) is the consent you provide when ticking the consent checkbox on the contact form, supplemented where appropriate by our legitimate interests in responding to and managing communications with people who choose to contact us.

5. Data Retention

We retain your contact form submission and any subsequent email correspondence for a period of three years from the date of the last communication. After this period, all personally identifiable data from the correspondence is deleted unless a specific ongoing membership relationship or contractual obligation requires its retention.

Active membership account data — your name, email address, and subscription status — is retained for the duration of your membership and for a period of one year following termination, after which it is deleted. Institutional contract data is retained for seven years to comply with Egyptian commercial record-keeping requirements.

6. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or transfer your personal data to third parties for their marketing or commercial purposes. We do not share your data with advertising networks, data brokers, or analytics companies.

The limited circumstances in which your data may be seen by parties other than NilePath Heritage staff are:

  • Our email hosting provider (hosted on servers in Egypt), who processes messages in transit as a technical necessity
  • Our payment processor, for the specific data needed to process a membership payment (handled under their own privacy policy, which we will provide on request)
  • Legal authorities in Egypt, if required by a lawful order under Egyptian law

In all cases, data shared for operational purposes is shared under contractual data processing agreements that limit the use of your data to the specific purpose for which it was shared.

7. International Data Transfers

Our primary data infrastructure is hosted within Egypt. If you are accessing this website from outside Egypt, your form submission is transmitted to servers in Egypt. We do not currently use cloud storage or processing infrastructure outside Egypt for personal data collected through this website. Should this change, we will update this policy and, where required by applicable law, notify affected subscribers.

8. Your Rights Under Egyptian Data Protection Law

Under Law 151 of 2020 (Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law), you have the following rights with respect to your personal data held by NilePath Heritage Co.:

  • Right of access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you at any time.
  • Right to rectification: You may request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Right to erasure: You may request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention obligations where these apply.
  • Right to restriction: You may request that we restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances.
  • Right to withdraw consent: Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
  • Right to object: You may object to processing based on legitimate interests.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected] with the subject line "Data Rights Request". We will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to verify your identity before fulfilling the request.

9. Complaints

If you believe that NilePath Heritage Co. has not handled your personal data in accordance with this policy or with Egyptian data protection law, you may first raise the matter directly with us at [email protected]. We take all complaints seriously and will investigate and respond within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Egyptian Personal Data Protection Centre (PDPC), the supervisory authority established under Law 151 of 2020. Contact details for the PDPC are available through the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology of Egypt.

10. Children's Privacy

This website is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from persons under 16. If you believe that a person under 16 has submitted personal data through this website without appropriate parental consent, please contact us at [email protected] and we will take steps to delete the information.

11. Website Security

NilePath Heritage Co. takes reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the personal data we hold against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include encrypted transmission of form submissions and secure, access-controlled storage of correspondence. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is entirely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
